Service Description

After reviewing your dog's health and behaviour history, I will have a bunch of questions, and you will likely have some too! The first step is a conversation dedicated to getting to know each other and discussing everything thoroughly until you feel confident about where to start. During your 90 min initial consultation you will receive: - Knowledge about how dogs learn and how we can change behaviour. - Personal feedback on all aspects of your dog's care and enrichment. - An understanding of what is needed to achieve your training goals. - Safety and management strategies that you can implement right away. - My guidance to help you create and write up your own training plan. - Visual instructions of what you need to do (online demo with my dog). - A video summary with detailed explanations of your homework (yes, you will have homework). A week of two after the initial online consultation I'll come to your place or we meet at a location to work in person to make sure you have all the skills needed to follow through with your training plan. As your coach, I will assist you in tracking your progress and adding new layers to your training plan continuously until you reach your goal or feel ready to fly solo. There is no magic number of consultations that will guarantee your desired outcome. You and your dog are unique, and so is your training journey (which is why I love my job). You may need my support for one, three, or six or more months. Learning new skills and modifying behaviour takes time, and it is an investment that is seldom regretted. With practice and patience, you will see improvement! The initial conversation always takes place online and then we work together in person. (Note: There is no written report included. If you'd like one, it is an additional $89. I aim to coach you to write it down yourself, as this is a better way to understand the plan, plus I'll video it for you).
